Car Detail Preparation and Pre-Washing
To start we get all our cleaning tools and supplies assembled and ready for application. We only use premium cleaning supplies to make certain your car gets the best detailing results. We also take care whenever possible to wash your car out of direct sunlight, to avoid water spots caused by irregular sun drying. Next is pre-washing, which is a step in the process often forgotten or rushed over by amateurs. Pre-washing isn’t much more complicated than a hose down of your vehicle, but it’s crucial to make sure large debris and dirt particles are washed away before more in-depth detailing is begun so that damage isn’t caused to your car’s vulnerable surface by those particles.
Deep Washing and Drying
We detail your exterior starting with the dirtiest part – the wheels and tires. By starting here we avoid debris from grimy wheels getting flung onto the already-cleaned car body. After that, we move on to the body of your car, washing by hand, exclusively using microfiber mitts and premium car soaps for the best results. After thorough washing, we hand-dry with fresh microfiber towels with great care to avoid streaking – a rushed drying can have a huge impact on the end result of the detail and that we won’t stand for.
Clay, Polishing and Wax
The final steps of the exterior detailing will take your car from merely clean, to positively sparkling. Clay picks up contaminants such as tar that have embedded in your car’s body and overall smooth out the surface of your car to an unparalleled level. Polishing your car will have it shining brighter than the day it rolled off the lot, and wax is crucial to protecting the surface of your car going forward into the future. Wax makes the car’s body hydrophobic, meaning it repels water. As a consequence, nasty dirt and grime from the air and rain won’t deposit on your car’s surface so easily: resulting in a car that looks better, for longer, and that doesn’t need to be washed as frequently to preserve its beautiful glossy appearance.
